Flourish
Flourish is a vibrant new women’s quartet from Nova Scotia, proudly representing Harmony, Inc. Each member brings her own unique background and passion to the group, to create a rich and dynamic sound.
The quartet features Kelly (lead), Jennifer (tenor), Carrie (bass), and Fatima (baritone) — all active and dedicated members in various roles of the Valley Voices chorus.
United by their desire to grow, Flourish is committed to honing their craft and embracing the joy of four-part harmony. They aim to inspire, connect, and celebrate the power of music. Flourish can’t wait to share their love of harmony with audiences near and far!
Four Shore has been singing together since July 2021. They have performed at local music festivals, seniors homes, community events, fundraisers and in shows with Seaside A Cappella and Valley Voices as well as Harmony Inc Area and International contests. They have become very good friends and have so much fun that sometimes they neglect to rehearse during rehearsals! Their goal is to share their sense of fun and enjoyment in each song they sing at every performance.
Although QWiNN formed in 2019, the members have a combined barbershop singing experience of over 80 years, and have been in a total of 13 quartets! Three of our members (Pat – Lead, Paula – Baritone, and Gina – Bass) are all Section Leads in Valley Voices. Janet (Tenor) is a Long-Distance Member of Valley Voices. We have all been life-long singers. As sisters, Pat and Janet have always sung harmonies together. Pat sang in 2 choruses in Ontario, including Harmony Inc. International Champions A Capella Showcase, before returning to NS and joining Valley Voices. Paula and Gina have been singing-sisters in Valley Voices for many years. Even through COVID, QWiNN found ways to get together and enjoy friendship and support.
Sister Q formed in June of 2024 and is made up of 2 sets of sisters: Paula (Bari) and Janet M (Bass), as well as Pat (Lead) and Janet B (Tenor). Pat, Paula, and Janet B. have been singing in quartets for many years and they are thrilled to welcome Janet M. to the exciting world of quarteting. They're looking forward to what the future brings!
Synergy is a dynamic new Harmony Inc. barbershop quartet born from the voices of two Area 1 choruses. Sue Kember (Director) and Jenn Cleveland (Lead Section Leader) of the ScotianAires chorus, join forces with Adèle Merritt (Director) and Corinna Garriock (Associate Director) of the Valley Voices chorus, to create a fresh and powerful sound.
With a shared passion for four-part harmony and a commitment to excellence, Synergy brings together the unique strengths of each member to craft performances that are as vibrant and diverse as their individual musical backgrounds. Their sound is a perfect balance of experience, energy, and camaraderie—a true representation of the power of collaboration.
Get ready for an unforgettable blend of voices as Synergy takes the stage!
Marion (Lead), Adele (Bass), Cathy (Baritone) and Mickey (Tenor) love singing a wide variety of song styles together in close four-part harmony. Over the past decade, Tonic! has enjoyed performing for many audiences throughout Atlantic Canada, as well as competing both regionally and internationally.
Tonic! has also proudly represented Harmony Inc.’s Area 1 region as Quartet Champions from 2015 through 2019. At the 2018 International Convention and Contest in Orlando, FL, Tonic! received fifth place medals as well as the “Image of Harmony Award” for service within the organization and the wider community.
